QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

HOW DO WE BOOK?

A simple phone call to our office to begin with will result in our giving you a date for a personal consultation.  We will price what you require, open ourselves to any questions you may have and leave it at that.  You may book us if you wish whenever you wish.  A non-returnable 10% deposit is required to confirm booking for your particular date.  The balance will be due on our return visit to finalise all arrangements, this is normally 10-14 days before your Wedding Day.

DO YOU TAKE PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS?

Due to the popularity of our company in both Business and Wedding sectors we cannot take provisional, only confirmed bookings.  Sorry.

CAN YOU TAKE CARE OF MY WEDDING CAKE?

Yes.  We will set up your cake on a suitable dressed table and provide you with a proper traditional cake knife for cutting.  Our chefs will also portion the particular tiers required for your relatives and guests if requested.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED TO SET UP AND PREPARE?

Normally two hours before the first guest arrival is time enough.

WHAT VEGETARIAN DISHES TO YOU OFFER?

We offer any dish to suit any Vegetarian whether the person concerned is Vegan or otherwise.  The only thing we politely ask is for the Bride or Groom to find out on our behalf what the Guest would like.  If there are no particular tastes then our Chefs will create a special dish on their behalf.

WILL MY PRICE GO UP?

On confirmation of booking Wedding, meal, buffet and toast drink prices are held at what you booked at.

WHAT IF WE ONLY REQUIRE CATERING OR BAR?

Normally a minimum of 60 covers is required however we can cater for less if a reasonable buffet and bar is required in the evening.

WINE HAS BEEN GIVEN AS A WEDDING GIFT IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE IT?

Yes, depending on the viability of the function but the wine must be of reasonable quality, and a restriction is placed on the amount, a small charge will be incurred to cover glassware and staffing.

DO I NEED A LICENCE FOR THE FUNCTION?

Yes, but we take care of all those details.  They have to be obtained by a licensee through whichever council your venue falls under.

I HAVE A RELATIVE WHO IS DISABLED & WHEELCHAIR BOUND CAN ARRANGEMENTS BE MADE FOR HER?

We will gladly help and look after that particular guest with an assigned waiter/ess to ensure they are well looked after and given a helping hand if needed.

These are just some of the many questions we are asked.  There are many more which we gladly answer and deal with on a daily basis but we hope it gives and answers a few of them for you.

DO YOU HAVE A TOY FACILITY FOR CHILDREN?

Often small children can become bored or frustrated at weddings.  We alleviate the problem of little tantrums and tears by providing a toy facility for the kids.  A few toys to keep them content soon stops the tears and lets the parents relax more to enjoy themselves, knowing the children are content.  This service is free.

DO YOU OFFER CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT?

Often parents can’t relax or enjoy themselves properly with the kids being tired or upset, etc.  Braveheart will if required provide a registered childminder to look after and entertain the children with toys, games, books, etc. throughout the day and evening if required.  A small charge for this service may be obtained on request.  This can include DVD package with Disney Classics included in the price!  (This is subject to available facilities at your venue).

CAN YOU PROVIDE WEDDING CAKES?

Braveheart can design and supply your cake for your special day.  Prices photographs etc can be viewed on consultation.  However please choose whosoever you wish.

CAN YOU PROVIDE FRESH FLOWERS?

Braveheart also have their own in-house floral service.  Our consultant would be happy to discuss your requirements if required.
